Hong Kong Maritime Week 2017
19‐26 November 2017

Riding on the success of the Hong Kong Maritime Industry Week in 2016, the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board joined hands with the Hong Kong Shipowners Association and the Hong Kong Maritime Museum and organised the Hong Kong Maritime Week 2017 (“the Week”) on 19 to 26 November 2017. The Week not only celebrated Hong Kong as an international maritime centre that provides superb maritime and port services, but also galvanised members of its maritime cluster towards the shared goals with pride and energy. The response of the industry and the community to the Week had been overwhelming.

Comprising 47 activities organised by 57 industry bodies, academic institutions and professional organisations, the eight-day Week attracted a total attendance of over 11,000, including not only local and overseas industry representatives but also students, youths and the general public.

The Week brought together industry leaders, experts and practitioners from Hong Kong, the Mainland and overseas on various platforms, such as workshops, forums and conferences, to explore topical and long-term issues of importance to the development of the maritime and port industries. Moreover, through a series of fun-filled activities catered for the community and the youths, the Week offered good opportunities for all to gain a deeper understanding of the maritime and port industries as well as their contributions to Hong Kong's economy.

We are grateful for the support of the organisers and partners, making the Week a resounding success. We are also grateful for your participation. See you all next time.
