The 31st Education and Careers Expo

The Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board (HKMPB) participated in the Education & Careers Expo (Expo) held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre during 21-24 July 2022 by staging a booth to promote maritime careers. This is the fifth time that HKMPB participated in the Expo since its establishment.
Besides information panels, a series of career videos and promotional videos on maritime professions were played at the booth. Information on entry requirements, career prospects and promotion opportunities of various positions in the maritime industry was introduced. Maritime-themed interactive game and model ship keychains as game prizes were specially designed to arouse the interests of the students and visitors towards the maritime industry.
Students of the Hong Kong Sea School and practitioners of the maritime industry were also invited to share their learning experience and practical working experience with interested students. Information sets which included brochures of maritime-related programmes and the Maritime and Aviation Training Fund etc. were distributed.
In combination with the exchanges with the in-service practitioners, HKMPB hoped to extend the interests and arouse the awareness of the students and general public towards the maritime industry, thereby encouraging them to join the industry.
