The 32nd Education and Careers Expo

Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board (HKMPB) this year again continually participated in the Education and Careers Expo (Expo) organised by the Trade Development Council, by staging a booth at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre for four days from February 2, to promote maritime careers.
This year's booth has a special theme of container ships. On board the “ship”, a series of career videos on maritime professions were played in addition to the display of dedicated panels, so as to introduce to the visitors the various professions, covering entry requirements, career prospects and progressions in the maritime industry, as well as the Maritime and Aviation Training Fund (MATF). Besides, maritime-themed interactive games with ocean-going ship key chains, the new series of "Ship Family", as prizes were set up at the booth that successfully attracted lots of students and family visitors to HKMPB’s booth.
Through distributing information packs that comprised brochures of maritime-related programmes and various schemes under the MATF as well as sharing industry information with young and interested visitors by industry practitioners, the HKMPB hopes to promote the interests and arouse the awareness of the maritime industry among the public, thereby encouraging them to join the maritime industry.
