Maritime and Port Development Committee
The Maritime and Port Development Committee is established under the HKMPB to
- devise strategies and measures to develop Hong Kong into a maritime services hub and sustain the competitiveness of the Hong Kong Port;
- conduct and coordinate policy research and market studies to identify development opportunities for the maritime and port industries;
- provide a platform for different sectors of the maritime and port industries to make concerted efforts on matters relating to the development of these industries in Hong Kong; and
- carry out tasks relating to (a), (b) or (c) above and agreed by the Board.

Promotion and External Relations Committee
The Promotion and External Relations Committee is established under the HKMPB to
- formulate strategies and measures to promote Hong Kong as an international maritime centre and a major port, and oversee their implementation;
- initiate and conduct promotion and marketing activities;
- engage the maritime and port industries in concerted promotion efforts; and
- carry out tasks relating to (a), (b) or (c) above and agreed by the Board.

Manpower Development Committee
The Manpower Development Committee is established under the HKMPB to
- monitor the supply and demand of maritime and port manpower and formulate manpower strategies, initiatives and programmes to support Hong Kong's maritime and port development;
- steer and undertake studies and surveys related to maritime manpower development;
- advise on and oversee the implementation of the maritime-related schemes under the Maritime and Aviation Training Fund; and
- carry out tasks relating to (a), (b) or (c) above and agreed by the Board.

Mr Willy LIN Sun-mo
Chairman of Manpower Development Committee
Mr Willy Lin is Chairman of The Hong Kong Shippers’ Council (1999-Present), and concurrently Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation (HKECIC) and the Textile Council of Hong Kong. Mr Lin is Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Prince Philip Dental Hospital, and Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI).
Mr Lin is is a member of the HKSAR’s Logistics Development Council; the Port Development Council; the Aviation Development Advisory Committee of the Economic Development and Labour Bureau; the Council of the Chinese University of Hong Kong; and Hon Advisor to the Hong Kong Chinese Importers’ & Exporters’ Association. He is Honorary Chairman of the Hong Kong Exporters’ Association and the Hong Kong Knitwear Exporters’ & Manufacturers’ Association.
Mr Lin is Committee Member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Committee of Jieyang, Guangdong and of Ji’An, Jiangxi.
Of his overseas affiliations, Mr Lin is the Honorary Consul of The Slovak Republic in Hong Kong, and is a Board Member of the Board of Overseers of Babson College of the US, his alma mater, and a Director of the Hong Kong-Thailand Business Council.
Mr Lin is the Managing Director of Milo’s Knitwear (International) Ltd and Milo’s Manufacturing Co Ltd in Hong Kong, as well as a Non-Executive Director of Top Form International Ltd. He is CEO of Futung Knitwear Ltd and Director of Jiangxi Mei Hao Textiles Co Ltd. in China. Mr Lin is Director of Patak Corporation Ltd, Thailand.
