Presenters Bio

Lapman Lee is a Committee Co-Chair at the FinTech Association of Hong Kong, and co-authored a paper on Hong Kong’s position as a FinTech hub for the European Commission. He is a Partner at Deloitte focusing on strategy advice and assistance to banks and securities firms in connection with enquiries, inspections and investigations, whether instigated internally or by regulators. Lapman is in an ongoing dialogue on FinTech, InsurTech, and RegTech with regulators such as the UK FCA and in Hong Kong with the HKMA, SFC, MPFA, and the Insurance Authority where he is a member of the Future Task Force of the Insurance Industry. In addition, he is an AIIFL Honorary Fellow at HKU.

Jon Rout is Business Development Director, Asia Pacific for Digital Asset – a distributed ledger company delivering the leading enterprise grade DLT platform for complex multi-party workflow automation across industry. Jon has played a key role in engagements with regulators and market participants alongside the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) as part of Digital Asset’s production build of DLT for ASX’s cash equities post trade system CHESS; and is now working to introduce Digital Asset’s technology to clients throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Kristi Swartz, Managing Partner at Bryan Cave LLP, concentrates her practice in corporate finance and FinTech matters. She is well versed in advising and providing practical and real-time advice relating to services such as robo-advisory, peer-to-peer lending through to the set-up and running of crypto-exchanges. Alongside her practice, Kristi is an active member of charitable organisations such as Global Women Connect, Faith In Love Foundation, and is a co-founder of the 30% Club’s Hong Kong chapter.

Pádraig Walsh is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial team at Tanner De Witt. Pádraig’s practice focuses on venture capital and related corporate work. Pádraig’s clients are broadly within the technology sector. His experience in this area has enabled him to advise clients on a number of innovative, complex fintech projects. He is at the forefront of advising on legal issues for emerging businesses using blockchain technology.
