AGM & Seminar
The Nautical Institute
The Nautical Institute, as an educational charity and membership organisation, seeks to hold its seminars at as low a cost to delegates as possible to encourage maximum participation from all within the maritime community but especially active seafarers.
Each year the Nautical Institute combines its AGM with a highly-successful international seminar which focuses on promoting safe and professional ship operations. Over 100 NI members and other senior maritime professionals are expected to attend this unique gathering giving an unrivalled opportunity to reach these high-level participants.
In 2019 the event returns to Asia and will take place at the prestigious Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, focusing on a key element of safe operation: shiphandling. Participants will include industry stakeholders and decision makers who you want to meet. They will include front line practitioners, younger generation professionals and a cross section other professionals including ship managers, seagoing staff, training specialists, naval officers, lawyers, surveyors, insurers and P&I. The findings of the seminar will be used to inform the work of The Nautical Institute with the wider industry including forums such as the International Maritime Organization and through our technical journal Seaways.
