Objective
Through a well-mixed school-based Maritime Studies curriculum of theory lessons and practical training, to prepare youngsters to obtain the initial qualification in Local Coxswain Certificate of Competency for venturing into the maritime profession, nurturing talents for the sustainable development of the local vessel trade

Students of Maritime Studies curriculum of the Hong Kong Sea School
Level of subsidy
Subsidise the Hong Kong Sea School to deliver a school-based Maritime Studies curriculum, covering basic knowledge and skills, practical shipboard training, upgrading of pedagogies, and organisation of events to promote maritime careers. Full-year subsidy may reach $3M.
The Maritime Studies curriculum has been approved by the Marine Department. Completers are eligible to sit for the Local Coxswain Grade 3 Certificate examination.
